A Sense of Relief and Relaxation Up North

This past week, children of ENP's various centers went on a respite up north. This trip provided a sense of relief to our children from Ashkelon, Beer Sheva, Gedara, Sderot, Kiryat Gat, Kiryat Melachi, Lod, Ramle, and Petach Tikva.

This trip included various activities at Bet Shean, Hispin and Kibbutz Ravit. The participants of this program were 140 of our very own ENP children on 7 very full buses. Activities include (but are not limited to!): Jeep riding, skiing in the Gilboa, and other various activities. This trip provided the children a sense of relief from the current situation in Israel, allowing them to enjoy their summer with endless activities.

We are especially grateful to the Jewish Federations of North America for enabling this trip to happen. It certainly enhanced the summer of all these children and we are endlessly grateful!

Below is a letter from our staff in Be'er Sheva expressing their thanks:

On behalf of th Be'er Sheva team, allow us to express our thanks. During these difficult times in Israel, Be'er Sheva has experienced a number of missles fallen and intercepted. Our students returned from three days of fun which were planned well to the finest detail. The activities were both of quality and planned with great care. The combination of food, treats and good accomadation gavve the students an opportunity to share, vent and distract them from the anxious moments that have been experiencing.

A special thanks to Sharon Tarkin who worked hard to make this happen.

The students have returned home and to life as normal; though this is not simple, they are recharged with hope. Wishing peace in Israel and a return to quiet soon.
