About Burtukan:
Although Burtukan has a quiet demeanor, she is a force to be reckoned with, according to her SPACE Coordinator. Burtukan pushes herself to earn the best grades and wants to get as much out of SPACE as possible. She joined SPACE in 7th grade when she transferred from a school with smaller classes but lower level studies. Math was especially difficult for her and she was placed in the lowest level. However, with the help of her SPACE teachers, she moved to the top level by the end of 8th grade.
Today:
Burtukan is in the highest level course in every subject. Burtukan says that the moment her grades started to improve, so did her confidence in her own abilities. Burtukan has many dreams for her future - among them is becoming either a doctor, lawyer, or astronaut - and these dreams are within her reach thanks to SPACE.
