Why did you choose to volunteer with ENP?
I am currently studying a Master's in Nonprofit Management and and I wanted to get involved with ENP, as they are an excellent and highly regarded nonprofit. I felt it would be a unique experience to get a different glimpse of the challenges that people face who start a life in Israel, as well as their impressive accomplishments. As someone interested in the field of international education, I am learning a lot about managing educational programs at ENP.
What do you like to do when you're not volunteering?
I enjoy creative outlets such as photography, journaling, and singing. My classes at Hebrew University occupy most of my time in Israel, but I do manage to escape to the beach when the weather is nice. I am an avid traveler as well and try to experience as much as possible on a daily basis!
What do you do for ENP?
I have been actively involved in the grant-writing process at ENP, and have been trained to draft grant proposals to various donors. Additionally, I research potential donors to assist with ENP's fundraising efforts. My favorite project has been site visits, where I serve as photographer and travel to different schools nationwide to see ENP's after-school programs firsthand. It is a pleasure to hear their stories and see their smiles.
