Scholarships for Ethiopian-Israeli girls at the Shapira High School, Netanya

May 1, 2014
On May 1, 2014, 10 Ethiopian-Israeli girls were awarded scholarships by the Ethiopian National Project (ENP). ENP received the scholarships courtesy of a generous donor who provided funds especially for their purpose.

Previously, the General Director of ENP, Mr. Roni Akale, met with the school principal Mr. Shalom Azaran, where they decided to award the scholarships to girls who were studying advanced placement-level Physics, Biology or Chemistry. The goal of the scholarships is to strengthen the students’ aspirations and help them realize their vision.

The awarding of the scholarships was an exciting event for both students and the donor. The students expressed their appreciation to the donor, and to Mr. Akale for contributing to the promotion of their education. Everyone at the ceremony felt faith and hope in the students, who represent a future generation that will help build Israel and lead the country in the days ahead.
