The Tiferet Mission to Israel, of the Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago got a taste (literally) of the Ethiopian National Project. The Mission visited ENP's Youth Outreach Center in Petach Tikva and heard first-hand about how the youth is working to build a better future for themselves, their families and their communities.

After hearing the story of the Ethiopian Jewish journey to Israel from the exceptional Micha Feldman, and the great work that ENP does for the vibrant community of Petach Tikva, they cooked and enjoyed the incredible tastes of a traditional Ethiopian meal, preparing it and eating it with the extraordinary Ethiopian-Israeli staff members of the Youth Outreach Center and SPACE Scholastic Assistance programs, who serve as role models for the young participants in ENP. 

The ENP YOC was launched with the support of Jewish Federation of Greater Houston. ENP's mission is to ensure the full and successful integration of Ethiopian-Israeli’s by addressing the most pressing educational and social needs of youths, ages 8-18.
