A passionate father speaks about SPACE

After arriving in Israel in 1981, Moti was placed in an absorption center in Padres Chana. He would later attend boarding school before completing his military service. He is now married with three kids, one of which, Shelly, is a SPACE participant.

Moti explains that he “thought it was important that Shelly got help in Math and English,” further explaining that placing her in the program was essential to her academic success.

Moti believes that the individual attention that students receive in SPACE optimizes students’ learning potential, especially in particularly difficult subjects. He also emphasizes the importance of the individual to the success of the Ethiopian community; every person serves a purpose and plays a critical role in the community’s continued growth.
