Why did you choose to volunteer with ENP?
I love having the opportunity to teach and interact with other children and teenagers. I previously taught a beginners’ Chumash class to a group of 9th and 10th graders in which er all learned from one another and formed a great group dynamic. In addition to that, I am very interested in learning more about the Ethiopian communities within Israel.
What do you hope to achieve through your experience with ENP?
I hope to not only help the students complete their work but also to imbue in them a love of learning. I myself love to learn and work hard through challenging experiences. I hope to be able to relay this to those with whom I will work.
What are you most proud of about yourself?
I’m proud of my persistence and motivation throughout high school and beyond. I follow through with my commitments.
What did you want to be when you were a child?
I wanted to be an artist – those days are long gone. Now I want to go into healthcare.
Who do you admire the most and why?
I admire my camp director from Camp Stone. He possesses a certain quality that entices children, teenagers, and adults alike. He has huge passion and love for the Nation of Israel and exhausts every fiber of his being to educate future leaders. He inspires me tremendously.
What do you love about Israel?
I love coming to Israel and being able to use the Hebrew I have been learning since I was in pre-school. Languages fascinate me and it is thrilling to finally be immersed in the culture.
