About Eden:
When Eden joined ENP’s SPACE Program, she developed a close bond with her SPACE Coordinator, Worke, who recognized Eden’s intelligence. After 9th grade, Eden’s teachers placed her in 5-points English to see if she could handle the challenge. Eden told Worke that she wanted to succeed in the class but needed help, and so Eden’s SPACE teacher and English teacher collaborated to give her the push she needed. After getting high marks on her first exams, Eden began to understand that she could excel.
Why Eden Loves SPACE:
SPACE has acted as an academic safe haven for Eden, and she loves it because “I can tell them my weaknesses”.
Today:
This year, Eden was in 5-points classes for English, math, biology, and biotechnology. Eden was also selected out of her entire class to receive a certificate of excellence. Worke raves about Eden, saying that not only is Eden smart, but she is also extremely resilient, and she fights to succeed. Although Worke jokes that Eden’s teachers are now obsolete, there is no doubt in her mind that Eden’s resilience would have broken due to her challenging classes without the support system of SPACE.
Future Plans:
Eden has impressive ambitions: she wants to be a policewoman in the army, then go on to University to study biology or criminology.
