What do you hope to achieve through your experience with ENP?
I hope to gain more understanding about the Ethiopian Jewish culture and community here in Israel. Additionally, I am looking forward to gaining personal and professional skills such as experience in grant writing, project management and development.
What do you love about Israel?
I love the people here. Israeli's are warm and welcoming and have made my transition here so seamless. I admire the diversity of peoplehood and the respect people have for all observance and religious levels. The unity in Israel is of something I have never experienced before. I am also excited to start my internship with ENP and learn about the Ethiopian community here in Israel and the contributions they made to positively impact society here!
What are your goals and aspirations for the future?
I would love to see myself start a non profit organzation of my own that focuses on youth development and inclusion. I have a passion to help raise the next generation into leaders of tomorrow and do what I can to make an impact that will be long lasting and sustainable.
What do you like to do when you are not volunteering?
I enjoy solo travelling, hiking and exploring new cities to find the best hidden gems!
What are you most proud of about yourself?
I am most proud of my ability to put myself into new situations and environments that take me out of my comfort zone. I have really pushed myself in the past few years to become comfortable with being uncomfortable and taking strides towards doing what I thought was the unimaginable.
