What do you do for ENP?
I am an intern for ENP, I help build their website, organize fundraisers, and brainstorm ideas for getting the word out about ENP and the amazing work they do.
What do you like to do when you are not volunteering?
My favorite thing to do in my free time is art, especially oil painting. I also love spending time outdoors, anything that involves hiking, camping, or swimming.
If you could be an animal, which would you be and why?
I would love to be a cat for a day, they literally have super powers and no one talks about it. Since coming to Israel, I have a newfound appreciation for cats, I have witnessed cats scale sides of buildings, walk through gaps in fences that are much smaller then they are, and somehow they always look adorable doing so.
Why did you choose to volunteer with ENP and what do you hope to achieve through your experience?
The work that ENP does is extremely important, the Ethiopian Jewish community deserves attention and representation and I am extremely excited to be a part of helping them get that. I hope to help build ENP’s online presence, whether through their website or various social media platforms. Additionally, I hope to organize a North American youth ambassador program, to get teens involved and help spread awareness for ENP.
What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
Strawberry ice cream is definitely my favorite, however, I am a bit snobby about the quality of the ice cream. If it’s neon pink then I stay away from it but when an ice cream brand has a high quality strawberry flavor that looks more on the natural side, I always choose it. (Extra points if there are strawberry chunks inside.)
