Why I chose to volunteer at ENP:
I enjoy learning about different cultures. Through ENP, I have the opportunity to learn about both Ethiopian and Israeli Cultures. In addition, I am interested in working with underprivlaged youth. At the youth centers, I hope to gain experience working with teenagers there.
Why this is important to me:
I am passionate about helping people and would like to improve Ethiopian-Israeli relations. Since Ethiopians are underprivileged in Israel, I hope that through my work, I will make it a better place to live. Through the organization, I want to gain direct experience while working in the youth centers. In such, I can help build the self confidence of the Ethiopians.
What are your goals and aspirations for the future?
I am currently studying psychology and minoring in nutrition and spanish. I hope to become a therapist and be able to be bilingual. In order to achieve this, I will obtain a graduate degree in either social work or psychology. In addition to psychology, I am interested in nutrition. In order to integrate the two, I may want to work with people who have eating disorders.
