Why did you choose to volunteer for ENP?
When I decided I wanted to intern in Israel for the summer, I wanted to volunteer for an organization that makes an impact on Israeli society in a very crucial and valued way. When I came across ENP, I was inspired by the organization's incredible effect on Ethiopian Jewry and community, and knew I wanted to be a part of the organization's substantial value in society.
What do you hope to achieve through your experience with ENP?
I hope to gain not only an understanding of the Ethiopian Jewry and community, but an overall comprehension of Israeli culture and society and how positive change can be enacted through programs such as the ones ENP conducts.
What are your goals for the future?
After I graduate in May 2020, I hope to work for a political campaign for the 2020 election season, on any level of government. I hope to eventually go back to school to receive a Master's in public policy or public administration.
What do you like to do when you're not volunteering at ENP?
I am in Jerusalem just for the summer, so on the weekends I love to travel to other parts of Israel with my friends, such as Tel Aviv, Haifa, or Tzfat. You can also find me at Pasta Basta in the Shuk!
What is your favorite country to travel to?
Israel of course! I am currently here for the 3rd time, after participating in a summer camp program in 2014 and Birthright Israel in 2017.
