Why did you choose to volunteer with ENP?
I choose to volunteer at ENP because I’ve always been driven to utilize the resources that have been given to me for something greater than myself. Whether that be using my voice to stand up for something I believe in or using my education and skills to help create and sustain meaningful projects, which is why ENP really stood out to me as an organization.
What do you aim to achieve with ENP?
ENP’s mission to unite global Jewry goes beyond race, ethnicity, gender, geographical location, income, academic standing, and focuses on providing Ethiopian Israeli’s the opportunities and resources all humans should be provided with to prosper. I am passionate about social justice, and value the importance of providing equal opportunities to all people by reducing the inequities between different cultural groups, and that is exactly ENP’s goal.
More goals with ENP?
I also hope to gain more insight on the Ethiopian Israeli community and use this knowledge to educate others within my own community and beyond. Additionally, I hope to create material that the kids within ENP enjoy and learn from.
Who do you admire the most and why?
I admire my grandmother the most because she is someone I look up to, and she has instilled in me the qualities that make me who I am today!
