What do you like to do when you are not volunteering?
Run, write songs, drum, dance, draw, go out, catch up with friends, and explore new interests and areas.
If you could have one wish, what would it be?
To have a job go that is joyful and meaningful.
If you could be an animal, which would you be and why?
I would be a rooster because I get to be the leader of the pack and provide a call to worship in the morning. I enjoy having a leadership role though also the opportunity to let others have leadership when need be.
What do you hope to achieve through your experience with ENP?
I want to be able to be with ENP as a way to explore a different culture in Ashdod and to open up more to the respective area I’m living in in Israel. My daily goals are to try new things every day and to build new skill sets and understandings of my own life and others throughout my own experiences.
Why did you choose to volunteer with ENP?
I enjoy working in different kinds of communities. I think that becoming a part of the Ethiopian community is a really great way to bridge the gap of socioeconomic status differences, and I also hope that I can learn and become a part of the community.
