Why did you choose to volunteer with ENP?
One may not immediately recognize the correlation between the mission of ENP and my majors. Still, they do have one essential link: enriching the diverse, global Jewish experience. This opportunity easily allows me to transition my passion to another equally valuable portion of global Jewry: Ethiopians Israelis. It was a natural choice to choose an internship that works to strengthen the next generation of Jews from such a unique angle and teaches me about the world of Jewish non-profits.
What are your goals and aspirations for the future?
My long-term goal is to work for an international Jewish agency that assists Jewish communities in the Former Soviet Union and Israel.
What is your favorite food in Israel?
My favorite food to eat in Israel is definitely shesek, also known as loquat. For some reason, I cannot find this fruit anywhere in the US, and so every time I visit I make sure to grab as many bags as I can enjoy before their season ends.
What is your favorite country you have traveled to?
My favorite countries I have traveled to, besides Israel, have been Turkey and Ukraine. Some countries on my bucket list include Austria, Hungary, Lithuania, and, of course, Ethiopia.
