Why did you choose to volunteer with ENP?
I chose to volunteer with ENP because I have been to Israel so many times and have yet to experience working with the Ethiopian communities here. I have always been interested in their stories and their lives, and I felt that this was the best opportunity to become more connected to a side of Israel that I have always been curious about.
What do you hope to achieve through your experience with ENP?
I hope to build connections with Ethiopian-Israeli youth and to gain more experience working with a non-profit organization.
What are your goals and aspirations for the future?
My ultimate goal is to go to graduate school and get my Masters in Speech Language Pathology and work with young children in overcoming their communication disorders of all types.
What is your favorite country to travel to?
I haven’t been there yet, but my mom’s family is from South Africa, and I would love to travel there one day and see where my mom grew up and explore the country where half of my family lived for so many years!
What is your favorite food in Israel?
A tie between shawarma and Israeli ice coffee!
What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
Pistachio
