Almanesh, whose family now lives in Netanya, made Aliyah when she was just two weeks old. Her parents have since worked incredibly hard, a work ethic that Almanesh has adopted and now sees as essential to future success. While Almanesh has always been self-motivated, she was struggling in school prior to joining ENP’s SPACE program. Her grades have since improved significantly, and she is now more independent and self-sufficient. Almanesh is grateful to SPACE for the skills it has provided her with and now encourages her younger peers to join the program. Her favorite subject is now biology and she would love to one day visit her native Ethiopia. Almanesh sums up her outlook on life in three words: eat, sleep, laugh.
