Armias, who now lives in Petah Tikva, came to Israel when he was two years old. Although he does not remember life in Ethiopia, his parents and uncles have made sure to tell him stories about where he came from and his family that remains there. Armias joined ENP’s SPACE program after struggling in math, which he now regularly receives 80s in. He recognizes that SPACE is what has allowed him the opportunity to receive the support necessary to succeed and is thankful to the program for changing the course of his life. Armias and his family also credit SPACE with facilitating his personal growth, as he is now a far more confident person than he was prior to entering the program. Armias now has big goals for his future, as he dreams of becoming a soccer player or a lawyer, or even both! He spends his free time playing soccer with friends and studying.
