Why did you choose to volunteer with ENP?
In my gap year I learned about the Jewish diaspora around the world. I loved learning about different Jewish communities outside of Sephardi and Ashkenazi communities, the only two I thought had existed up until my gap year. As well as learning from ENP, their mission statement of helping Ethiopian Jews integrate into Israeli society inspired me to get involved with them.
What do you love about Israel?
The people, the language, the rich history, the scenery and especially the food!
What did you want to be when you were a child?
I wanted to be a photojournalist, because traveling the world as a job sounded like a dream.
Who is your favorite superhero and why?
Wonder Woman. She’s the strongest superhero, and not only does she have superhuman powers but she is also dedicated to love and kindness.
What is your favorite day of the week and why?
Thursdays, because my dad cooks chicken soup for Shabbat on Thursday nights. I used to always come home from school to the smell of chicken soup, it is my favorite smell in the world.
