Why did you choose to volunteer with ENP?
My goal was to find an internship where I could effectively help others. When I heard about ENP and their mission of raising up the Ethiopian Jewish community through educational and community initiatives it immediately stood out to me as a deeply important venture that I wanted to take part in.
What do you love about Israel?
I love being in a place where most people practice Judaism. I remember walking around around Rosh Hashanah and Sukkot and everyone was wishing me a happy new year and it felt so incredible to have everyone celebrating the same holidays I was.
What do you like to do when you are not volunteering?
I usually like to spend my free time hanging out with other people on the program. But when I’m not doing that I like to write stories.
What is your favorite food in Israel?
Definitely Sabich! All of the vegetarian options here are great but I am just partial towards eggplant.
Who do you admire the most and why?
My mother because she has balanced incredible achievements in her work life while still being a very present and loving mother, daughter, and friend to everyone around her.
