Eligeta, 15 from Ashdod, was born in Israel after his family made Aliyah in the late 90s. Eligeta, along with his brother who is also a SPACE participant, feels that while SPACE has helped him improve tremendously as a student, it has more importantly made him a better person. The teachers in the program provide Eligeta with the supplemental academic support that his mother is often unable to provide, support that has helped Eligeta improve his English grade from a 36 to a 100. Eligeta is now excited for the future, as he hopes to continue succeeding in his studies and would like to visit Ethiopia one day. He says his favorite food is anything that his mother cooks!
