Tigabo's family came to Israel about ten years ago, when he was only three years old. He has four other siblings. His parents recall the beauty of their homeland in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. His father works and his mother is a caregiver. Since his parents do not speak Hebrew very well, Tigabo has struggled with his studies at home. SPACE provides Tigabo the opportunity to excel in English, math, and religious studies which would otherwise be unavailable to him. He likes the unique academic exercises SPACE provides and says they have helped to improve his grades a great deal. Tigabo hopes others will join the program, I would say to them that it is very worth it for them to be there, because they can raise their grades, they can get ready before a test, there are also meals. He enjoys the staff at SPACE and enjoys the learning environment. In his free time, Tigabo loves to play soccer and study.
